The Quarantine Hotline is a five-part audio series made up of anonymous voicemails collected during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Created by Vuk Dragojevic in March 2020, the hotline is an attempt to document the collective experience of living through a global health crisis. At a time when physical proximity isn’t always possible, the free, anonymous line provides an outlet for callers to speak about personal experiences or observations ranging from serious to funny, mundane to absurd.
The Quarantine Hotline was generously funded by Fogo Island Arts’ Digital Residency program.
"The hundreds of anonymous messages left at The Quarantine Hotline offer a taste of our collective mood, which seems to range from embittered to ecstatic. Some callers were profane, many profound, a few prurient."
–Oliver Moore, The Globe and Mail
